Glistening Examples is pleased to present this new album from Thomas Tilly.
“Codex Amphibia (an interpretation of the explosive breeding phenomenon)”
This project comes from a 2016 research field session realized with Antoine Fouquet, Research associate at The French National Center for Scientific Research; “Ecology, environment and interactions in Amazonian systems Lab” (LEEISA); and the “Evolution and Biological diversity Lab”. Thomas then composed these tracks from unprocessed raw field recordings and interspersed sinewave structures in 2017.
It’s a truly mesmerizing handwoven audio tapestry!
When purchasing the tangible Hylidae Edition CD from the Glistening Examples Bandcamp site, you will also receive a download code for a digital copy of the album along with a PDF of the composer’s notes regarding this project (all too elaborate to be included in the jewel case packaging). This was quite an ambitious project!
If you’re curious, the PDF is also available here:

The limited edition colored vinyl copies of Robert Beatty’s “Soundtracks for Takeshi Murata” are sold out. Friends and fans were kind enough to submit photos of their copies, since the patterns of each individual record was unique. If you’re curious, you can view examples on the label’s Facebook page.
Standard black vinyl pressings and CD copies are still available here.
Many thanks to everyone for being so supportive of this very special document!
